Milestone for international growth

Linde AG and T-Systems have signed an agreement for data center and storage services throughout Europe. The amount is somewhere in the 9-digit realm.

This contract marks another milestone for T-Systems in its international growth strategy and strengthens its position in the manufacturing industry. As part of the outsourcing deal, the information and communications service provider will consolidate the Linde data centers in Munich, Stockholm and Guildford at its own data center in Munich. The transitional phase will begin on April 1 of this year. T-Systems will also take over 39 IT specialists from Linde as part of the seven-year agreement. The companies will also set up a shared innovation center. Linde will also outsource its data center operations outside of Europe as well as business applications.

Greater flexibility

Linde will receive and pay for its computing and storage services based on demand and business activity. The advantages of Dynamic Services by T-Systems: Fixed costs are converted into variable costs, computing and storage services can be adapted to business activity and necessary investments can be spaced out over several years with outsourcing.
